SAN FRANCISCO — Now you can stream Twitch from all your Sony consoles.
Emmett Shear, the chief executive of gameplay livestreaming platform Twitch, announced that Twitch will be available this fall across all PlayStation devices.
Speaking at the TwitchCon convention in San Francisco, Shear said that players are already broadcasting by the hundreds of thousands on the PlayStation 4. Now the company is making it possible to broadcast or view livestreams across all PlayStation platforms, including the PS Vita, PS3, and PlayStation TV.
This is the first time that a handheld console has had livestreaming — that’s a feature not on the 3DS family of systems from Nintendo.
